Exterior Fire Fighter (ELEF)

52 Hours Prerequisites: ELFG, IS-700, and ICS-100

This 52-hour course is designed to introduce new firefighters to exterior fire ground operation including building construction, ladders, communications, protective systems/sprinklers, forcible entry, and fire prevention. This is the third of four courses in the curriculum.

The student will need to provide: pen/pencil, notebook, PPE, SCBA with spare cylinder, and their copy of the PA Edition Entry Level Fire Training Skill Sheets book, which was provided the first day of the Introduction to the Fire Service class. This skill sheets book must remain in the possession of the student until the end of the Entry Level Fire Training program.
